In Their Own Words

As part of the Case Profiles Project, we are gathering personal stories from youth prosecuted under 18 in the adult criminal justice system as well as their parents and families. The purpose of collecting these stories is to understand from those most directly affected about their experiences and perspectives on prosecuting children in the adult criminal justice system and their recommendations for change. CFYJ serves as a platform for families to voice their concerns to policymakers, the public and the media on how policies that prosecute children as adults negatively impact youth, their parents and families. The Case Profiles Project highlights their voices through reports, policy briefs, publications, newsletters, and here on the website. Please submit your story and make a difference.
